The number of annual flammable nights in the West in 2020 increased by roughly ** percent in comparison to the figure recorded four decades earlier. Furthermore, the intensity of nighttime fires has also experienced an upward trend, increasing by *** percent worldwide since 2003, and by nearly ** percent in the West.
