As of 2022, the electricity customer population in Ghana reached around *** million customers. Except the drop registered in 2017, the electricity distribution customer base followed an increasing trend from 2000 onwards. This comprised residential, non-residential, and Special Load Tariff (SLT) utility customers. According to the source, in 2022, the majority of electricity customers in Ghana were registered with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
