From 2016 to 2022, Sweden and Norway were the two Nordic countries which allocated the highest amount of official development assistance (ODA) bilaterally. In 2022, Norway and Sweden both granted roughly *** billion U.S. dollars directly to recipient countries. Denmark's sum was the third highest with *** billion U.S. dollars, whereas Iceland made the smallest contribution. Sweden was the Nordic country that awarded the highest sum via multilateral agencies.
