Europe is the main destination of natural gas exports from Africa. As of 2019, it accounted for over ** percent of the total exports - ** percent transported as Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and ** percent transported in gaseous state via pipelines. Asia Pacific represented another leading destination of African natural gas exports, making up ** percent of the export trade.
