Cassava was the main crop produced in Ghana as of 2023. Nearly than 27.7 million metric tons of the root were produced that year. Yam and plantain also achieved larger yields, at approximately 11.7 million and 7.3 million metric tons, respectively. These crops are staple foods consumed across regions in Ghana.
