In a survey conducted in September 2021 by in South Korea, roughly half of respondents aged 25 to 34 years old answered that they never bought any apps because the free version of the same app had every function they needed. This, together with not minding seeing ads when using applications, was the most common reason for not purchasing apps across all age groups.
