The survey was conducted across conducted across Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The children were enrolled in classes 1 to 8.

According to the School Children’s Online and Offline Learning (SCHOOL) survey conducted across India in August 2021, ** percent of the parents of rural school children between the grades * and * stated that the reason for irregular studying habits was due to the school not sending them online material. On the othe hand, ** percent of the parents stated that the learning irregularity was due to the children not having their own smartphone.
