In 2020, many countries experienced dramatic emissions reductions due to the outbreak of COVID-19. However, emissions are expected to rebound in 2021 as economies recover from the pandemic. Across the G20, energy-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are projected to increase *** percent compared to 2020 levels. Emissions in Turkey are projected to rebound *** percent, while China and the United States are expected to see emissions rebound more than **** percent. In 2020, CO2 emissions from fuel combustion in the United States plummeted **** percent compared to 2019 levels.
