The at-risk-of-poverty rate shows the share of people who have equalized disposable income below the at-risk-of-poverty threshold. The threshold is 60 percent of the median income after tax and social transfers.

Citation formats

Of the Nordic countries, Sweden has had the highest at-risk-of-poverty rate among the foreign-born population since 2013. In 2023, 28 percent of Sweden's foreign-born citizens were at risk of poverty. Iceland has the lowest rate, with 13 percent in 2019, the last year for which numbers were available for the country. The at-risk-of-poverty rate among Finland's foreign-born citizens decreased by over 10 percentage points since the start of the documented period.
