Non-pay expenditure/cost covers all third party expenditure and includes all clinical and non-clinical supplies andservices, pharmaceuticals, capital expenditure, infrastructure works and maintenance, utilities,rent and rates, purchased healthcare from independent sector providers, and professionalservices. It includes relevant expenditure through NHS Supply Chain and GovernmentProcurement Service purchasing arrangements. It excludes directly employed workers andassociated costs such as national insurance, pension contributions and administration costs,CRB checks.
The other large expense is employee expenses.
