According to a survey of global smartphone users carried out in November and December 2020, Brazil and South Africa reported the highest share of respondents using mobile apps to watch video clips, TV, or films, with approximately ** percent of smartphone users engaging in this activity. Japan reported the lowest share of smartphone users watching video content on apps, with only ** percent of respondents. Mobile gaming apps appeared to be popular in all the surveyed countries, with ** percent of the surveyed smartphone users in the United Kingdom representing the lowest share of respondents playing games on their mobile apps.
