Unified State Exam (袝写懈薪褘泄 袚芯褋褍写邪褉褋褌胁械薪薪褘泄 协泻蟹邪屑械薪, 袝袚协) is a series of exams Russian high school graduates take in order to apply to universities. Russian and math exams are mandatory to take; other 1-3 subjects are usually determined by the field of study chosen by a student.

Number of Unified State Exam highest-scoring students in Russia 2019-2025
Over 6,800 Russian high school graduates passed at least one test within the Unified State Exam with the maximum 100 points in 2025. The number of highest-scoring students marked a decrease from the previous year. In order to apply for a higher education program, graduates take exams in several subjects related to the chosen study area. Furthermore, exams in the Russian language and basic mathematics are mandatory. The higher the scores are, the higher the chance of getting a study place is. In programs where a part of places are funded by the state, higher exam scores can also help graduates to study at the university for free.
