At the time of the Japanese House of Councillors regular election in 2025, there were around ****Â million female and ** million male eligible voters. The voting rate was about **** percent among all voters. The House of Councillors is the upper house of the Japanese parliament. Once elected, members have six years of terms of service. Half of the members of the house are replaced in a regular election conducted once in three years.
