In 2018, more than half the Black African and Colored households disclosed that they did not pay fees for their children aged zero to six years to attend educational institutions (**** percent and **** percent, respectively). Half the Asian/Indian households and **** percent of the white households did not pay any fees. Furthermore, **** percent of the white population paid more than South African rands (comparable to * U.S. dollars) for their children's education.
