Asia's share of global plastic material production 2013-2019
In 2019, Asia accounted for approximately 51 percent of the total global production of plastic materials, which made it the world's largest plastic producing region. Much of the plastic production in Asia comes from China, which accounted for 31 percent of the global plastic production in 2019.
