According to the National Council of Commercial Court Clerks (Conseil National des Greffiers des Tribunaux de Commerce), the first half of 2021 coincided with a spike in the number of companies removed from the trade and company register. Indeed, ** companies were delisted in the first half of 2021, which is almost ** percent more than in the same period the previous year. A large proportion of the cases, especially those involving sole proprietorships (**** percent), were voluntary deregistrations. The second most frequent reason was a deregistration following a collective procedure.
