Based on an online survey carried out between June and July 2020, ** percent of the Southern African businesses that took part in the study requested working capital from financial institutions during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Moreover, some ** percent contacted financial institutions for asset financing, while ** percent sought debt recovery delays. Only *** percent approached financial institutions for new products.
