Based on an online survey carried out between June and July 2020, ** percent of the Southern African businesses that took part in the study approached commercial banks for support during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Moreover, some ** percent contacted the public sector and state, while ** percent sought support from microcredit agencies.
