According to a survey conducted on the readers of the website Mining Technology between August 11, 2020 and March 1, 2021, a ** percent share of the respondents were of the opinion that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic would not affect the merger and acquisition (M&A) activity and asset transactions within the global mining sector. A further ** percent share of the respondents stated that they thought that mining sector M&A activity would increase as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
