Among the equity funding rounds completed by challenger banks worldwide between 2017 and the first half of 2020, the vast majority occurred at an early stage (seed/angel, series A, and series B). This was particularly true for equity funding rounds in the Americas, and the EMEA region. In the APAC region, the share rounds occurring at an early stage was lower.
