According to a survey of internet users in Italy, as of the third quarter of 2024, roughly 83.1 percent of respondents reported playing video games on any device. Smartphone gaming was the most popular option among respondents, with 51.5 percent stating they played video games on their smartphones. Console gaming was more popular than laptop or desktop gaming, with 36.3 percent of respondents stating they played on a console, compared to the 20.7 percent reporting they played video games on a laptop or desktop.
