As of October 2020, ** percent of people surveyed in the European Union declared that they had used personal saving sooner than they had planned during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. When considering differences between age groups, the results of the survey showed different generations were disproportionately affected. In fact, ** percent of respondents between 25 and 34 years of age said that they used their personal savings sooner than they had planned, while among individuals between 55 and 64 years of age the share fell to ** percent.
