As of October 2020, ** percent of people surveyed in the European Union declared that they had used personal savings sooner than they had planned during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Unsurprisingly, responses varied greatly in the different European countries. For instance, as little as ** percent of respondents in Denmark indicated having used their personal savings sooner than they had planned. By contrast, ** percent of Bulgarians admitted having done so.
