This question was phrased by the source as follows: "Based on what you have seen, read or heard, how confident are you the following are prepared and can effectively deal with the coronavirus: Your national government?"
For each of Australia, Canada, France,
Germany, Japan, the U.K. and the U.S.,
the samples of each survey wave have a
size of 1,000 and can be taken as
representative of the country鈥檚 general
adult population aged 16-74 or, for the
US and Canada, aged 18-74.
For Russia, the samples of all survey
waves conducted between February and
July 2020 size have a size of
approximately 1,000 while those of waves
conducted since August 2020 have a
size of approximately 500. The samples
in Russia are more urban, more educated
and/or more affluent than the general
population and should be viewed as
reflecting the views of the more
鈥渃onnected鈥 segment of the population.
