In 2020, *** million worked hours per week were registered in Morocco, as against the *** million hours in 2019, representing a loss of ** percent. In the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector, working hours declined by ** percent. Moreover, for this sector, more work hours were lost in the rural areas (**** percent), compared to urban zones which reported a **** percent loss. Overall in Morocco, *** thousand job losses were recorded in the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector at the mentioned period. This was attributed to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and the dry agricultural season experienced in the country.
