The 5G network went live in the United States (US) in late 2019 and by the end of the same year there were *** million cell phones with an active service agreement that connected to the 5G network. It is expected that 5G will increase to reach over 222 million subscriptions by 2024, while 4G will drop from *** million in 2019 to *** million connections in 2024.
