The health and wellness industry was severely impacted during the coronavirus pandemic as gyms and spas were forced to close to avoid the general public mixing in large groups. Despite the close proximity to others that a spa visit requires, a survey of spa goers in the United Kingdom in 2020 suggested that many were eager to return to their health spas. Some ** percent stated that they would be happy to use a chlorinated pool or hot tub once the spas reopen after the pandemic, while ** percent would be comfortable dining in a spa restaurant.
