Hotel spa facilities offer a place for relaxation not only for the guests at the hotel, but also for locals in the community. Moreover, spas provide an additional source of income for hotels, which can be especially beneficial during the off-season for tourists. During a 2018 survey of hotels in the United States, it was found that ** percent of visits to hotel spas were by locals and other members of the public, while ** percent of customers were hotel guests.
