Over one-third of respondents consider it very important to have a strong banking industry. On the other hand, eight percent of respondents declare not knowing whether a strong banking industry is an important requirement or not.
Nonetheless, the banking industry is one of the driving forces of the economy and is perceived as strategic for 86 percent of French people.
