The majority of Italy's outstanding securities were made up of treasury bonds or BTPs as of August 2024. In total, around *** trillion euros of securities were outstanding as of August 2024. More than three quarters of this was comprised of treasury bonds, with a further *** percent being index-linked treasury bonds.
