In 2020, Haiti and Suriname were the countries with the lowest coverage rate of the diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis vaccine (DTP3) in Latin America and the Caribbean. As of that year, approximately half of the countries' infants had not received the third dose of the vaccine. On average, nearly ** percent of the children in the region had been immunized against this disease as of 2020.
