The index measures the direct and indirect impact of terrorism on a scale from 0 (no impact) to 10 (highest impact). Despite a decrease compared to the previous five years, Nigeria is one of the countries with the highest terrorism threat levels in the world. In 2019, it recorded the second largest number of deaths related to terrorism worldwide.
