COVID-19 has negatively impacted financing conditions, economic growth, and appetite for mergers and acquisitions among corporate executives in Europe. Almost **** of European corporate executives surveyed in the second and third quarters of 2020 cited the pandemic as the reason they weren't considering M&A at the time. Many M&A stakeholders said that M&A wasn't part of their corporate strategy for 2021.
