An urban unit is made up of city(ies)-centre(s) and their suburb(s). Here, the term "large urban area" refers to the 16 urban areas with more than 500,000 inhabitants, excluding the urban area of Paris."

In 2017, almost *** percent of employees residing in Paris regularly teleworked, and this was also the case for *** percent of employees living in the Paris suburbs.
