In 2023, the large majority of the loans granted in Mexico were allocated by multipurpose banks. Nevertheless, the share of loans provided by multipurpose banks was slightly lower than in 2020 and 2021. Meanwhile, savings and loans associations (SOCAP) granted **** percent of the loans in the country.
