The per capita consumption of cheese within the EU-27 steadily increased between 2014 to 2023. While in 2014 the figure was approximately **** kilograms per capita, it was approximately **** kilograms in 2022. The EU per capita consumption of cheese is by far one of the highest rates in the world, and is projected to remain so.
