In 2020, some activities have been more or less dynamic in terms of increased demand compared to the 2018-2019 winter season.
The overall trend recorded in the ski resorts is in line with the development of new activities in ski resorts: among the list of activities mentioned in the graph, the interest for their practice has stabilized or increased in a large majority of ski resorts. The activities developing the most during the 2019-2020 season were the wellness and fitness activities. Only * percent of the ski resorts have seen a decrease in demand in this sector. Activities such as snowshoeing or dog sledding have decreased in more ski resorts. This does not necessarily mean that the activity is less popular with holidaymakers, as weather factors can strongly influence the available offer.
It is important to note that the 2019-2020 season has been shortened due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the confinement of the French population on March 16, 2020.
