All social media posts were written in Russian.
The social media citation index is the number of links to a source in social media for a month. To calculate the rating, the number of links for a full month is normalized for 30 days.
According to the source, the ranking includes ecosystems that accumulate and distribute content. These include classic news aggregators, a media system of public channels in messengers, and personalized newsfeeds.

Media platforms most quoted in social media in Russian 2020
Telegram was the online media platform most frequently cited in social media in the Russian language, quoted nearly *** million times in December 2020. The messaging and blogging service was unblocked in Russia in June of that year. Other popular media platforms on the Russian-speaking internet were Yandex.Zen and News Mail.Ru with approximately *** million and *** thousand quotes, respectively.
