Rates are seasonally adjusted. In April 2020, the Australian Bureau of Statistics advised of a change from the 'concurrent' method of seasonal adjustment estimation to the 'forward factors' method, during the COVID-19 period. The forward factors method ensures that large movements do not disproportionately influence seasonal factors.
Figures are for the month of July in each year.
