In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, the French rail company Alstom generated sales revenue of around **** billion euros from its operations worldwide, which was an increase of about * percent from the fiscal year ending March 2024. Sales revenue overall had been steadily increasing since the 2015/16 fiscal year. In February 2020, Alstom announced the acquisition of Bombardier. In July 2020, the European Commission allowed this takeover, which strengthened Alstom's market position and made it the second-largest rail manufacturer behind CRRC.
