Excluding the five major breweries Asahi Breweries, Suntory Beer, Sapporo Breweries, Kirin Brewery, and Orion Breweries.

In fiscal year 2018, the export volume of beer-like beverages produced by microbreweries in Japan amounted to kiloliters. This is a slight decrease of about ** kiloliters compared to the previous year. Due to the high costs incurred through liquor exports, microbreweries distribute their products predominantly in the domestic market.
