As of 2022, the production of sugar in Kenya increased by nearly 13.8 percent, amounting to 796.6 thousand metric tons. In the year before, some 700 thousand metric tons of the product were produced. The growth was attributed to an increment in harvest and delivery of mature canes for crushing.
