PADD stands for Petroleum Administration for Defense District. PADD 5 encompasses the West coast states from Washington to Arizona. And also Alaska and Hawaii.

There has been no outflow of petroleum from pipelines in PADD 5 since 2000. The highest values were recorded in the mid 1990s and peaked at **** million barrels in 1995.
