Over the last decade, the gender pay gap decreased in Belgium. In 20201 women were still paid, on average, five percent less by the hour than men. Since 2007, the gender pay gap that women face in the country has decreased by over four percentage points. In other words, although the situation has improved, efforts towards gender equality are still to be made in Belgium.
