Food has always held a special place in French culture and society. According to a 2018 survey, cooking ranked second on the list of preferred hobbies and interests of French people, right after traveling.
Even if French people enjoy their national food most of all, their taste remains varied: over eight different types of world cuisines have an enjoyment rate of over ** percent. We can however identify a clear preference for Southern European cuisine, especially from Italy. Indeed, the French appreciate it almost as much as their own.
