Indian Oil Corporation Limited had its largest refinery, by volume, at Panipat and Paradip, both with a refining capacity of 15 million metric tons per annum. Of the 10 refineries, nine were its own, while one of them belonged to its subsidy Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited. The total refining capacity of the group was 80.5 million metric tons, which formed around 32 percent of the nation's capacity.
