Source: MEASURE: young people were asked how often they eat fruit. Response options ranged from never to every day, more than once. Findings presented here show the proportions who reported eating fruit daily (at least once)

*Family affluence scale (FAS)Low- and high-affluence groups represent the lowest 20% and highest 20% in each country/region.
**The study protocol requires that each HBSC country or region should aim to survey around 1500 young people from the three age groups (approximately 4500 in total).

In 2018, according to a European wide survey that in Belgium (French speaking region) ** percent of girls from the low family affluence group and ** percent girls from the high family affluence group were consuming fruit daily, the highest share across all European countries. It can be seen across every European country surveyed that fruit consumption for boys and girls are higher in families with higher affluence compared to lower affluence families.
