An October 2019 survey of partnered adults in the United States found that 35 percent of U.S. adults in relationships said that their partner was sometimes distracted by their cellphone when they were trying to have a conversation with them. In comparison, only 15 percent of U.S adults in relationships said their partner was never distracted by their cellphone during conversations.
