Wine sales volume in Poland recorded a growing trend in the observed period. In the 2020/2021 season, wine sales volume reached a record volume of ** hectoliters.

    The Mazowieckie (Masovian) voivodeship, located in the heart of the country, was home to wine lovers, generating over * zloty of sold production value. In terms of sales shares, dry wine was the undisputed leader and the best-selling wine type in Poland. However, when looking at current trends, Poles began to show their preference for French sparkling wine, Champagne. In 2020, the beverage’s sales witnessed a ** percent growth year-on-year.

Wine production in Poland

    The number of Polish wine producers steadily increased since the last decade, reaching as many as *** manufacturers in the 2021/2022 season. White wine production was overall more popular than the manufacture of red wine. The national wine producers closed 2020 with a total of ** hectoliters of white wine.
