As of the first quarter of 2020, 42 percent of semiconductor startups had raised funds from either grants, awards, notes, seed or other sources, whilst 30 percent had achieved series A funding. A further 20 percent had managed to secure series B funding, with the remaining eight percent of semiconductor startups receiving funding from unidentified sources. Over the last five years, semiconductor startups raised a total of 1.3 billion U.S. dollars.
